but could they dst thing with the infusion totals have messed up rune drops? were only at 8% or so and i'm still not getting very many runes per fight. level 31 vampire bat just gave me 29 runes....that right? just thought i'd ask:)

That sounds right. They should give about as many runes as whatever their level is, plus or minus a few. Things might give less runes now than they used to before the stat change, I don't remember how much they gave back then.
